• Identifiers.When you voluntarily provide it to us, we collect personal identifiers such as name, phone number, email address, billing address, shipping address, date of birth, and regarding online purchases only, your credit card number. We may also collect Personal data concerning gift recipients (name and mailing address) for the sole purpose of fulfilling gift orders. We will also create a client number when you make a purchase and a Rack Room Shoes Rewards Number when you sign up to be a member.

HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION

We collect Data from the following sources.

• From You. Rack Room Shoes collects such Data when you purchase items online, sign up for the Rack Room Shoes Rewards program, sign up to receive discounts, promotions, and perks, email us or submit an inquiry using the “Contact Us” submission page or through the chat function on our website or participate in one of our contests, sweepstakes, or online promotions (as applicable). NOTICE OF BIOMETRIC INFORMATION

This Notice of Biometric Information Collection (“Notice”) outlines Rack Room Shoes, Inc.’s practices for collecting, using, storing, retaining, and destroying Biometric Information (defined below) we may collect from customers solely in our retail store in South Carolina. “Biometric Information” means information based on biological characteristics collected if the customer uses the SafeSize’s state-of-the-art 3D foot scanning technology (“Technology”) offered in our retail store in South Carolina.



• Collection and Use If you use SafeSize’s state-of-the-art 3D foot scanning Technology your Biometric Information will be collected and stored by Rack Room or SafeSize as the service provider. The Technology allows you to analyze your foot anatomy to reconstruct the exact foot shape and detect detailed foot dimensions. Your Biometric Information is used to provide you tailored recommendations of shoe brand, style, and/or size.


• Restrictions on Disclosure Rack Room will not disclose or disseminate your Biometric Information to any third-party, other than SafeSize, (a) without prior written consent is obtained from the Customer (b) disclosure is required by any state or federal law, or (c) disclosure is required by a valid warrant or subpoena.


• Retention and Deletion: Rack Room will retain your Biometric Information for no more than twenty-four (24) months after your last use of the Technology. We will permanently delete your Biometric Information from our records upon expiration of the retention period and will require SafeSize to do the same. We may retain your Biometric Information as necessary to meet our regulatory and legal obligations or to comply with law enforcement, a court order, or to complete a financial transaction requested by you.

 

Children’s Policy

Rack Room Shoes does not knowingly request or collect personal data from anyone younger than 13 years old (or other age required by law) without prior consent from a parent or legal guardian. Please contact us if you believe your child under age 13 has submitted personal information to Rack Room without prior parental or legal guardian consent so that we can take steps to delete the information.
